Martin Dugan, founder and editor

I'm Martin Dugan, the founder and managing director of AA2. I have over 20 years of experience in sales, hospitality and digital marketing, and founded AA2 in 2017.

I built Practice Value to help owners understand what they are selling before they start talking to buyers. It brings together a free calculator and guides to valuation, sale routes, preparation, tax and life after a sale.

I am the named author and editor responsible for the site's publication, sources and corrections. The byline identifies that responsibility; it does not claim that I personally wrote every earlier draft or hold a financial advice qualification.

What you can use here

The calculator gives an indicative sale range and explains the factors affecting it. Your report appears on screen and can be downloaded. The guides draw on published regulatory, government and market sources, with dates and links so you can check the basis.

The site provides general information, not personal financial, tax or legal advice. Our editorial and sources policy explains how we use evidence, distinguish estimates from offers and handle corrections.

How Practice Value is paid

There is nothing to buy here. The calculator and guides are free, and using them creates no commitment to sell.

If you ask for an introduction and it leads to business, the receiving firm may pay Practice Value an introduction fee. You do not pay us for that introduction. That commercial interest is separate from the published market sources used in the guides.
