Terms of use
Short, and in plain English.
What this site is
Practice Value is a free information resource for owners of UK financial advice businesses who are considering selling. It is operated by AA2 Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 10899773. Nothing on the site is for sale.
What the calculator is, and is not
The valuation calculator and the reports it produces are general information based on published market data and the figures you enter. They are not a valuation for legal, tax or regulatory purposes, and they are not financial advice, tax advice or an offer to buy or value your business. The figures are deliberately conservative, shown as ranges, and rounded down; your actual outcome depends on facts a calculator cannot see. Before acting on anything here, take advice from a suitably qualified professional who has seen your firm's real numbers.
No advice, no client relationship
Using this site, the calculator, the tools or the articles does not make you a client of AA2 Ltd or of anyone else, and does not create any duty of care beyond what the law requires of a website publisher. Articles state the position at their publication date; tax rates and regulatory expectations change, and we do not promise that every page reflects the law on the day you read it.
Introductions
If you ask to be introduced to potential counterparties, we may make that introduction. Introductions are free to you. If an introduction leads to a transaction, the receiving firm pays Practice Value a fee; you never do. We are not a broker, adviser or agent in any resulting transaction, and we take no responsibility for the terms of any deal you agree.
Accuracy and liability
We take care over what we publish and cite primary sources for statistics. Even so, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on the site's content, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Your data
What we collect and what happens to it is set out on the privacy page.
These terms
English law governs these terms, and the English courts have jurisdiction. If we change the terms, the change appears on this page with effect from publication.
